About the event
Kicking off my workshop series with the secret to all gardens (and all life) – great soil. You really don’t ever need to feed your plants if you feed your soil and the best way to do that is by adding well-rotted organic matter - better known as compost.
We'll go through a step by step process of how to make compost from kitchen and garden waste, how to use it in the garden and why this simple act of composting benefits nature, reduces waste and plastic consumption and saves you money.
Come prepared to get your hands dirty and wear some warm clothes and waterproof shoes as no doubt it will be on the cold side. There will be a simple warming lunch of soup and homemade bread, tea and coffee and a chance to get together with like minded people for a few hours in the garden.
The group size will be small to fit in with Covid-19 regulations - Rule of 6!
