A Wild Garden

This garden nestled into the Berkshire countryside had to compliment a very old farmhouse that had undeergone major refurbishment to bring it back to life.  The garden was a blank canvas with beautiful views of the surrounding fields and woods. The immediate areas around the house have been used for entertaining sapce and the more formal areas of planting and the majority of the garden has been left to go wild with meandering paths mown around the garden. A tradtional style vegetable garden with vintage greenhouse provides cut flowers for the house and fruit and vegetables for the garden and resident chickens.  Wildlife is encouraged and welcomed into the garden even it it means some of the roses and apples have have their leaves nibbled by deer passing through. A garden that has melded into its landscape, not been imposed onto it.
